John Grosvenor has a distinguished career, spanning 38 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he retired in 2008. Throughout his tenure at PwC, John lived and worked in key global cities including London, Norwich, Rotterdam, New York, and Singapore, gaining extensive international experience and honing his expertise in professional services.
Since retiring from PwC, John has dedicated his time to a variety of paid and voluntary roles, demonstrating a strong commitment to social causes, particularly in the field of dementia care. From 2008 to 2015, he served as Treasurer and a Board Member of The Alzheimer’s Society in England. During his tenure, John played a pivotal role in developing a formal strategy and restructuring the organization, enhancing its business operations and expanding its support for individuals with dementia.
In 2015, John joined the Board of Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI), where he served for nine years until February 2024. His leadership was instrumental in providing ADI with a clearer strategic direction and guiding the organization through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. With 15 years of involvement in dementia charities, John remains passionate about continuing his contributions to this important cause, which is why he has joined the board of Dementia Alliance International (DAI).
John’s current roles include Chair of Goalball UK, a Paralympic sport for blind individuals, and Advisory Board Member at Mazars LLP, a professional services firm. He is also the Treasurer and a Board Member of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE), a charity focused on improving social care and social work through effective use of knowledge and best practices.
Having recently stepped down from ADI, John is ready to devote his time and expertise to new opportunities. He resides in Oxford, England, with his wife. John is a proud father of two daughters who live in Barcelona and Dubai, and a grandfather to four grandchildren.
