Applications for the Board of DAI are Open

(Board applications have now been extended to June 10th!)

Established in 2014, Dementia Alliance International (DAI) is a collaboration of like-minded individuals diagnosed with dementia providing a unified voice of strength, advocacy, and support in the fight for individual autonomy for people with dementia.

Traditionally, our Board has been composed solely of members living with a diagnosis of dementia. In recent years, we created a select number of positions for people without a diagnosis to support our Board’s work.

With our upcoming AGM, we have openings for non-member Board positions. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful Treasurer Patricia Bowen and longtime Board member Gary Johnson for their years of dedicated service to DAI.

How to apply for a non-member board position at DAI?

If you’re interested in applying for a non-member Board position, follow these steps:

  1. Download the nomination forms here.

  2. Submit your completed forms, along with any additional documents (e.g., your CV), to secretary@infodai.org.

We will review all applications and follow up with more information.

What if I’m a member of DAI living with dementia?

If you are already a member of DAI, you can apply for the board too. We have member positions open every year.

The process is the same - you can find the nomination forms here. Submit these, and anything else you want to share such as your CV to secretarty@infodai.org

Please note

  • Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by June 10th to secretary@infodai.org.

  • Election Process: Successful nominations will be put to a vote among DAI’s general membership at the 2025 AGM.
