Honouring James McKillop MBE

Honouring James McKillop MBE
Published: Sunday, September 6th 2020

It is day 6 of the DAI Dementia Awareness Month series, #DAM2020 and we are highlighting a video presentation by James McKillop MBE, given after the AGM this year, when he retired from the DAI Board of Directors in June 2020.

James is a pioneer dementia advocate, and was diagnosed with dementia himself in the last Century! His determination, wisdom, friendship and passion have inspired us all. James became a board member of DAI a few years ago, and retired in June 2020, although he continues to co host one of our peer-to-peer support groups.

DAI was honoured and privileged to work and walk beside him, and our members continue to find him a constant inspiration. James motivates us all to keep going, and is always a source of great wisdom and wonderful Scottish humour.

Thank you James. We are so glad you found DAI.
