GivingTuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States, and has become a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world". DAI is a registered charity in the USA, so donations beyond those borders do not have the same tax incentives.
However, as you know if you are reading this, DAI provides free membership, free peer to peer and social support to people with dementia, as well as global and national advocacy, with the majority of the team being volunteers, as well as people who themselves, are diagnosed with dementia.
Dementia Alliance International is an organisation of, by and for people with dementia, with a belief there should be nothing about us, without us. But we cannot fulfil that commitment to our members without your support.
Why consider donating to DAI on Giving Tuesday?
Because there is one new diagnosis of a person with dementia every 3.2 seconds somewhere in the world, and as such our membership continues to grow. This also means, every 3.2 seconds one person has their life, as they knew it, taken away. DAI started intuitively to support people living with dementia to improve their quality of life, and to regain hope for a future.
You can help us do just that too, by donating or partnering with us today: https://dementiaallianceinternational.org/get-involved/donate
